Health and Safety Fail

Name the location and what the risk is.

Answer: Osu Oxford Street
Blocks packed at the edge of the floor, just above the advertising board on your left of the picture with no protection, any disturbance would lead to the blocks falling from height onto the road, where there is busy traffic at the Osu roundabout.

The responsibility of the client, architect, main contractor and sub contractors under health and safety is to all persons working on site and all other stakeholders such as the general community where the construction is taking place.

Considerate construction requires a sense of responsibility and awareness of risk to all stakeholders

A fence net should be put around the building as construction is still ongoing and the risk of having loose materials, lying around which could easily be blown and thus turn into a projected missile to on coming traffic, the risk of such sudden obstruction to drivers could cause an accident.

To stop children and other trespassers climbing up, to have a birds eye view of the city and the risk of falls from height to them.

Think safety,
Be safe...
